| Clinical Trials in CLL |
CLL is the most common type of adult leukaemia in the western world. Australia has a relatively high incidence of CLL, comparable to the incidence in North America and Europe. Australia also has a health and medical research system that provides a high standard of clinical medicine and research capacity. It is hoped that the establishment of the CLLARC will considerably enhance the ability to successfully access novel agents for clinical trial investigations into the management of CLL. It is envisaged that CLL studies will be developed by the CLLARC and interested parties, and then conducted under the auspices of the ALLG, with central data management by the ALLG Trial Centre facility at Peter Macallum Cancer Institute in Melbourne. Current Clinical Trial Projects

Patients with CLL who may be interested in partipating in clinical trials should discuss this with their haematologist. Many haematologists and specialist physicians caring for patients with CLL will be members of the Australasian Leuakemia and Lymphoma Group.
