The CLLARC was established with the aim “to advance the understanding, study and care of patients with CLL." Hence, research is a primary focus. The CLL Australian Research Foundation (CLLARF) has been established as a non-profit, sustainable fund dedicated to CLL specific research with interested patients, clinicians, companies and others, to create a base for ongoing CLL research in Australia. The CLLARC is partnered with the Leukaemia Foundation Australia (LFA) and a CLLARC Management Committee has been formed, reporting in to the LFA National Medical & Scientific Advisory Committee, which in turn reports to the LFA Board of Directors. It is via this organisational structure that potential grants for the CLLARF will be reviewed, with final decision on grant acceptance resting with the CLLARC.
